Kristen Cipriano

Kristen is the CEO and co-founder of MyEducationist, which opened in 2020 and has impacted over 100,000 students to date. Before her company’s founding, she led the regional academic team for KIPP NYC tasked with overhauling elementary schools’ curriculum and assessment design, instructional practices, and professional development strategy for leaders and teachers. Her team's work resulted in improved New York State test performance by 36% in ELA and 29% in math.

Prior to her work at KIPP, Kristen was the principal of Success Academy Crown Heights, a Title I school in Brooklyn, NY. The school was ranked #1 overall as the top-performing elementary school in New York State under her leadership with 100% of students passing the state math exam (95% earning the highest possible score) and 98% passing ELA.

Before her experience as a principal, Kristen spent time as a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach for America. She managed first and second year teachers and was an integral part of the Elementary Math Design Group, which used data to transform the organization's collective approach to math instruction. Additionally, Kristen served as a founding lead teacher and grade team lead at a new school where she later became the Leadership Resident. She started her career in education as a TFA corps member, teaching elementary special education.

Kristen graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Cognitive Studies and Child Development. She received her master's degree in teaching from Pace University. Kristen lives in New York with her family in the same town where she grew up!
